Who am I?

I am a former journalist working as an author and communications professional. How do these two professions fit together?

I am a writer first and foremost. I have worked in communications my entire career. I landed my first newspaper column at the age of 13. I always wanted to write a book. In 2018, I decided it was time to make it happen.

A trip to the eerie South Carolina Lowcountry inspired The Haunting on Palm Court, the first book in my Isle of Palms Suspense series, which I published in 2020. Over the past five years, I’ve published five romantic suspense novels, two children’s books, and one adult (but kid appropriate) coloring book. I have a couple new projects in the works, and I’m excited to share more about them soon.

I love all things creative, especially writing, photography, and graphic design. I feel fortunate that I have been able to pursue a career in the field where my passion lies.

I have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Communications from the University of Tennessee, and I am continuously looking for opportunities to grow as a writer.
